Our kids range from pre-t een to toddler, with a few in between. DH tends to anger easily, and our marriage has reached the point where I will surely leave with the children early on in 2011 if he doesn't get a grip on his temper. He has expressed a desire to change his parenting, and he wants some books to help make the mental shift. We have a few parenting books around here but I'm looking for books that will effectively assist him in parenting (ie: being the authoritative voice that the children sometimes need) without being a complete jerk. I don't know... gentle parenting has always come naturally to me, so none of my personal philosophies hold water for him. When I pose different strategies/scenarios, he says that sounds like "pansy parenting".
Any strong male influential voices out there that you think may help? Thanks, all suggestions considered and appreciated.
