The Appointment Thread - Page 9

Had my first appointment this morning, nice strong heartbeat in the 160s from a very cooperative baby (found the HB three different times - brought the kids in after I heard it)

Now that we have ruled out twins, DH's guess is a boy, he's 3 for 3 so far!

Congrats!  That heartbeat is the best sound in the world!

My midwife has been kind enough to do 3 ultrasounds for me so far because of my previous loss at 9 weeks. I had one at 7 weeks, 8 weeks, and 10 weeks... and you'd think that would put my mind at ease but I am still nervous as heck for my NT Scan next week.

I love reading about all the happy appointments :)

Suddenly it doesn't feel like we're all in *early* pregnancy, now that we're all settling in with care providers and hopefully starting to feel better.  Time is starting pick up a little, no?  So exciting :)

My 16 week appt is next Monday.  That feels, like, really pregnant.

Wow.  That feels really pregnant to me too.  You're srsly 16 weeks already??  I'm only going to be 13 on Tuesday!

You're right though.  We're all slowing moving into the 2nd tri already.  Holy crap.

Well, I'll be 16 weeks next week, so I'm 15w now :)

Oh next monday.  LOL I misread that as just Monday meaning tmw!!  My bad!  Still!  Wow!

Wow 15 weeks! I'm only 11 weeks today but I am due at the very, very end of August.

I have my first official appointment tomorrow. I'm excited that my husband will get to meet my mw and to hear the heart beat for the first time!

Loved reading about all of your appointments!

I will be 16 weeks next Monday and have an appointment on Tuesday.  I'm a nervous wreck.  This is the first of 2 targeted ultrasounds.  My hope is that everything found is normal and no soft markers for any chromosomal problems are noted.  While it won't make me breathe 100% easier, it will take a HUGE load off.  I am already so anxious about it!

Poor anxious mamas!  I will keep my fingers crossed that things are all good for you!!

We had our first appointment with the midwife last week.  It was nice to see her again, she got to fawn over DS a little (she was his midwife too!), and we got to hear the heartbeat!!  She found it with the doppler within a few seconds.  The look on DS's face was so sweet/puzzled.  I wonder if he remembers that noise?

Apparently my uterus is measuring a little high, which she said is pretty common in second + pregnancies.  Or it could "also mean twins" but we'll wait until the next appointment and "see where things are measuring then."  Not exactly what I wanted to hear.  I am trying to think single baby thoughts...

I had my NT scan today.  I'm 12w6d.  It went great!  No risk for Downs and baby was wiggling all over. I am IN LOVE!  This was my first u/s this pregnancy so once she put the wand on my belly and I saw the little baby on the screen, omg, girls -- words just cannot describe the flood of emotion that ran through me!  I've been worried about missed miscarriage, I've been just overall worried feeling cramping and odd things.  Well -- I feel much better now!

The tech was also really nice and we chatted about homebirth.  She said she didn't get to meet many (if any at all) hb moms so she really picked my brain about it and we just had a good chat while she did her job.

I told her I wanted a bunch of pictures and for her to take a guess at gender if she could.  She said if she had to guess, she was about 80% sure it's a boy! But she said not to put too much stock in that at all, lol.

Here are some pics of my LO!!

Congratulations Carrie!

I had my NT scan today too!  Exactly 12 weeks today.  Everything was perfect.  No risk for downs here either.  My baby was super active too.  So excited. :)  I don't have any pictures to post electronically but mine look pretty similar to yours.  YAY!

I love it so much that our babies look like babies and everyone is healthy so far! Congratulations mamas! I can't wait until my next ultrasound! :D I see my midwife tomorrow and we'll hopefully talk about setting a date!

Yay for healthy babies!  Carrie, those pictures are so cute!

It's very exciting that our babies look like babies now.  It was pretty cool that this was the first glimpse I got of the baby.  It felt very similar to waiting til 14dpo to test and seeing that really dark line.  Seeing a baby instead of just a little blob is very cool.  I feel like I "held out" or something, lol!

I think the pictures are super cute, too, Jessica - but I'm a little biased! luxlove.gif
