30-Somethings TTC #1, January 2011: Year of the Bajingo Juice - Page 14

Shell -

I love the bean dip idea :)  I looked up a couple online and there was one with gift wrapped boxes with ultrasound pics inside I think.  I don't plan to get an ultrasound until 20 weeks, so I'm going with the picture frame idea.  We popped into Walgreens this morning and got the acrylic fridge frames that say "I heart my Grandma" and plan to put a Coming soon! message inside.  I suggested that the hubs take my pic with a pillow stuffed into my shirt, and he said "or in my shirt" so that's what we're doing!  I'll lovingly rub his belly or something cheesy.  Both of our moms live pretty far away, so it'll be a few days, and we're hoping to swear them to secrecy until Valentine's day.  Dads and sibs will get phone calls, and we're telling our friends at a party.  Maybe I'll make bean dip :)

Co-ops are many things!  You're thinking of co-housing, which is a little different. We live in a house with 13 total people, and we all have our own room but share common spaces for eating, cooking, hanging out, etc.  Everyone in the house has cleaning and cooking duties, as well as a house job.  The benefits are insta-community with people who are into that sort of thing and cost sharing so everything is super cheap (we pay $100 each for food a month). Our house is part of a larger network of houses so the cost sharing spreads even further to cover things like major maintenance.

Taxlady - love the hair!  Mine is super long too, but it's so thin and fine that it gets damaged really easily and wouldn't be donatable.  My hair has been every length from 1" to butt crack, but the hubs has only ever known it long.  I think he likes it that way too.

No AF yet, and this nausea is not my imagination. It's lots of times, but often after I eat.  ??? I'm 12 DPO.

Calycanth, my DP is from Toledo Ohio.  I'm sure he'll be on the phone a lot with his folks.  It's like they're predicting snowpocalypse!

Complete with "thunder snow!"

Shellhawk, thanks! I love my doggies but they are like the Bumpus' dogs in the movie Christmas Story....you know where they run in from outside and destroy the Christmas turkey and then run out?  That's my house!

If anyone in the Chicago area wants to adopt cats or dogs,  flowerkitty.gif

but mainly cats, contact me!  I have a constant stream of excellent rescues.

And as far as that nonsense on Facebook?  Facebook is totally dangerous for over-sharers, and unfortunately, we can't control what oversharers do when they're our family and friends!

Bel718, thanks for noticing my timing! We've been trying a long time, but DP works 12 hour shifts overnight, so you can imagine the damper that puts on BDing.
