I have had good results using colloidal silver for treating infections. I like the brand Argentyn 23 because I got it from our naturopath and it worked really well. It's kind of expensive and not available in stores. Strangely, the same company makes Sovereign Silver, which *is* available in stores. The only difference is that SS is 10ppm while A23 is 23ppm. Seems almost like an insignificant difference. In fact... 23 ppm sounds kind of a little *too* exact, but I digress... The point is that it worked and so maybe I just have a superstition that it works.

*Anyways*, I have read about making colloidal silver at home. On the one hand it seems like a great idea because it would be cheaper than buying it. On the other hand, some sites say that the stuff you make at home is the stuff that can turn you blue, whereas the kind like Sovereign Silver does *not* turn you blue. I think the threat of turning blue is mostly from daily heavy use regardless, but is the kind that you buy way safer than the kind you make at home?Â
