What Do You Eat for Breakfast? - Page 3

Eggs, soup, fruit, or leftovers.

My son's favourite breakfast is eggs and sausage so we have a lot of that.  Oatmeal sometimes and occasionally Cheerios, but I'm trying to cut back on that habit.  Also yogurt and fruit.  We try to stay away from carbs in the morning as much as possible, but do make pancakes once a week, usually on Fridays.

we make no difference between breakfast, lunch or dinner.

dd and i both dont really like typical bfast foods. for instance for us a bowl of cereal is a snack that we eat when we come home starving before dinner. however we havent bought cereal in a LOOOONG time.

mostly bfast is leftovers or something really quick.

like rice and broccoli

fresh salad - depending on season (we dont do lettuce) we do spinach or cabbage or other greens.

there is just something about freshly made food. it just feels right. and my dd is more picky with left overs. freshly cooked she'd eat anything. i mostly wake up an hour early to cook bfast and lunch and sometimes they are the same thing.

soup - crockpot so when we wake up it is ready. this is our staple in winter.

millets, quinoa, beans. we both hate eating anything sweet first thing in the morning.

we have changed our way of eating to eating heaviest for bfast, light for lunch and lightest for dinner.
