Wool skirts?

I was just given three wool skirts (plaid patterned ones)

Can I do anything with these? The material is really nice 100% wool, but they don't have any give (its felted? not knit?)

could I use this at all in diapers?

If you dont want to wear them as skirts....they might make nice scarves, or you could cut them up and use them as a layer for a diaper,  not next to baby's skin but inside would work.   Its not that its felted, its just that wool fabric is typically made that way.

you could make snapping or velcro covers with them.

Thanks, I'm still new to wool as a usable fabric! PLus I think this is the first time I've owned a 100% wool skirt rather than wool blend/ looks like

Cool! how should I go about making sure the wool doesn't touch the baby's skin, line it and bias tape?

I just meant it should be part of the liner - like sandwhich two layers of wool inside an inner and outer layer of flannel / hemp/ cotton velour - something like that - wool can be scratchy against sensitive skin!
