I'm breastfeeding, can these symptoms be anything else than pregnancy?

DD2 is going to be 23 months old and I have had AF since she was 11 months old, no problem although my cycles tend to be a little long as they have always been. But I'm late, very late. My nipples started to be very sore a few days ago and now my breasts are tender and fuller. I suddenly can't sleep at night which is a red flag with me and pregnancy.

However, we had only sex ONCE in November and we used a condom which we know how to use very well. We are however a very fertile couple ( always got pregnant on the first try 4 times before).

Seriously, it is just impossible that I'd be pregnant. But, then what else could it be? Could my hormones go haywire somehow this late breastfeeding. She only nurses to go to sleep.

Well, I was going to test today but DH forgot to get it on his way back and I just huh, chickened out. But I will tomorrow. I have to at this point, because if I say one more time that it's not possible the world is going to end ( I 'm so not dramatic ).

But seriously, in between breastfeeding, a condom and doing it ONCE in the month ( can I bold this twice?), well, it's just not possible.

And, yes I kinda feel pregnant but if it's an hormonal imbalance then that would be normal right? Kinda.

Gnnnnn...

Sorry but if you've been getting regular AF's for a year, you cant really count BFing as a reason you can't be pregnant. Clearly you're ovulated regularly, and thus can get pregnant.

We all know it only takes ONCE.

So now we're down to "did the condom work or not." So yeah. ;)

All right, I peed and... it was negative! I took it tonight so I'll do another one in the morning to be extra sure but I'm 2 weeks late for my period so it should have worked regardless of the time of day.

I told you it wasn't possible! I feel weird though, my breasts hurt and I have a heaviness/pulling in the lower abdomen and I have a bit of nausea too. I guess it's a hormonal imbalance, hopefully because of the breastfeeding and I'll get my next period on my regular schedule.

Means you ovulated late! Happens to the healthiest of women occasionally.

Yes, hopefully that's just it :)
