teething and "loose", more frequent bowel movements- is there a connection?

would love to hear what others think about this. . .

Ohhhhh yes, my daughter's BMs have gotten more frequent and more...voluminous since she started cutting teeth. I think it's the extra saliva they produce getting swallowed. She even goes once a night now, which she never did before, and her daytime BMs have increased from 1-2 a day to 3-5 a day.

Absolutely......in my experience anyway. My 5 month old DD is ebf and at one point was only have 1 bm every 3-4 days. Now that she's teething she's been having way more.........like 7 per day and all night long as well. I have to be very careful about changing her as soon as she poops (which I do anyway.......but it's even more important) otherwise she gets a very red bum. I do agree with pp....might be something to do with all the extra drool.
