Does anyone have any tips on how to get a referral to an OT from my Tricare PCM? I've heard that only some things are covered and that it can depend on the way the referral is worded....ie possible dysgraphia vs possible motor delay. I want OT evals for both my boys...older ds has some fine motor problems...might be dysgraphia might be who knows what, but he needs help that I and his teacher/school can't give him. Younger ds I think has SPD. I know I need to make an appointment with their PCM (we got to the bast pediatrics, but I'm thinking of trying to get switched to a civilian pcm just because it's nearly impossible to get an appointment) and then get the referral from there, but I want advice on how to best word my concerns to the pcm so the referral can maybe get covered by tricare. I'd rather not pay for both evaluations out of pocket if it's possible. TIA!
