If skipping meals makes you binge. I make bad decisions if I get too hungry. There are times on the weekends where I get busy in the morning and don't eat breakfast. Then, I'll go out for errands & feel famished & just want something quick.
I think for stress binging, you have to replace the behavior with something else so that other thing becomes what you crave when you're stressed. Like exercise or putting on a pair of headphones and shutting out the world for a little while.
I know that part of my problem is that for so long, I've treated myslef with food. My mom treated me with food. We'd go to Dairy Queen or out to eat all the time. I still feel that I'm not satisfied if I don't go out to eat regularly. When I'm stressed or bored, I go to the bookstore and have a drink or dessert and read a book. I also work from home & feel antsy if I'm home for too long. I'm having trouble finding other things that I can go do when I'm stressed or bored rather than eating.
