What should I do with my pain meds?

Three months ago I had my son via c-section and they gave some samples of pain meds and I also had an rx filled. Luckily I didn't need them for long though and I still have most of the samples and have the rx left along with some samples of stool softener that I also didn't need. These meds are still good, but of course I can NOT donate them to anywhere really or sell them. I'm going to take the anti nausea meds to the pharmacy for them to dispose of for me. I kinda want to keep the pain meds for when AF comes back. I've never needed anything stronger then Tylenol though and I'm nursing so don't expect her back anytime soon. They take up a small amount of space. but my kitchen is super tiny so maybe I should take them to the pharmacy as well to dispose of them?

Yes, but should I keep them in case I need them later on? If it gets close to the expiration date then I'll take them to the pharmacy.

I would keep them.  Usually I get strep throat once a year and that is extremely painful so I appreciated having stronger pain meds on hand.  My DH has used them as well for particularly awful headaches.

i kept mine.  most stuff just gets weaker, not dangerous.  would never do this with antibiotics.

i hear you on the sore throat.  it seems most dr won't give pain meds for them, but i so need meds more for that than a csection
