Help Me pick a new seat...

Hi!

My 4 month old is going to need to have her infant seat replaced with a convertible seat very soon. I have been looking at seats since before she was born, and I am no closer to picking one than I was months ago.

Here are my requirements...

1. RF as long as possible

2. would like it to last as long as possible

3. I don't have top tether just the metal things in the seat for LATCH (I drive a 2000 Ford Windstar)

4. Easy to adjust- we had an evenflo triumph for my son and I HATED the knobs on the side.

5. My son was 75th% for height and weight his whole life, my DD is 68% weight and 69% height so not too far from average for height they are longer in the torso than the legs

I think that's about it. Money isn't a HUGE factor but it is a consideration... I am willing to pay more for a seat that will last longer...

Thanks!

having trouble with the edit function I wanted to add that it also has to be a decent seat when using just the seatbelt. We have a jeep and a coup that doesn't have latch that we use from time to time.

For the twins, were planning to get the Complete Air.  It has a 40lb rf limit, a 65lb ff limit, a TALL shell and a straightforward install in most vehicles.  It costs about $180,

If you have lower anchors you have a top tether.

I'd look at the Safety 1st Complete Air and Sunshine Kids Radians.

where would I find the top tether? in my mom's outback they were on the ceiling but I see nothing in my van on the ceiling... this is all new to me, with my DS we had old vehicles way before latch time....

Probably the back of the seat or the floor behind the seat.
