Monday Check-In
Name: Chicajones
Date: Jan 25Th
Chart:

Where are you in your cycle: Who knows? I think CD 42, possibly 4 dpo, but if I get another low temp I think FF will remove my crosshairs.
Appointments: n/a
Symptoms if they apply: I've been getting cramps on and off
Testing: waiting to see if I actually ovulated
Thoughts: Losing my mind, seriously. I don't know what on earth is going on this cycle. I thought I O'd around CD16, but when I disregarded one of my low temps, FF dropped it. I started testing and even tested up to 19 DPO (if I had O'd on CD 16) and they were all negative. But, no AF. I had another good temp climb a few days ago, but my temps have been back down. I disregarded last night's temp b/c i was in and out of bed, kept waking up and our house was colder than usual. I really just want a BFP or AF, at this point I'd be happy with either!

I am so sorry chica....I understand how that can be. I hope you really ovulate this cycle and get your AF soon.

grouphug.gif all around.

AFM, took a test last night, even though it was only 11dpo and not fmu.  But my IC's arrived and I wanted to play with them.  BFN, of course.  I expected it, and was fine with that for a few hours.  Then I remembered what I read a few weeks ago: that 80% of women in their 20's who are TTC get pregnant within 6 cycles.  The 20% that don't are pretty evenly split between those that have something wrong, and those that are just unlucky and it hasn't happened.

It occurred to me that I'm officially on the other side of that statistic.  Every month that I continue on this journey, it becomes more and more likely that something is wrong.  So, as soon as the witch shows her ugly face, I'll be onto cycle number 7 (and I'm not even counting the 2-3 cycles that we were NTNP but had some well-timed slips).  I don't want to be worried, I want to have faith that it will happen, but it's really hard to do that right now.  I'm feeling very broken.

Briana, that stinks about your doctor though. I know what you mean the emotions getting the best of you and then understanding, I feel that way whenever I have a cold and have to go in for antibiotics. Can they put you on a short call list so if someone cancels earlier you can go right in?

Mac- I hope that you get a bfp soon & last night was just too early. There is so much you can try out there too keep you from feeling broken. Someone posted about arvigo/mayan/abdominal massage that can reposition your uterus, turns out even a little malalignment can make it hard to conceive. I'm going to get checked next week. I feel like while I wait I might as well do everything I can to fox anything that could be wrong. Feels better than feeling broken.

Chica- I hope you o soon & get some answers!

Hugs to all of you and crossing crossables! Like HopefullyMama, we have had our share of whoops accidents during my so-called fertile window but this is the first cycle I've put on my reading glasses, sat up, and charted. Doesn't help that my cousin I grew up with (same age) gave birth last August and my sis-in-law is due in April and is one of "those" pregnant women who work in that they're pregnant in EVERY. SINGLE. CONVERSATION. even on totally unrelated topics........sigh. Time will tell!

P.S. I just clicked on the smiley icon for the first time to look for a hugging smiley and whoa. SMILEY OVERLOAD! So many options...

Cbaa - actually the doc did put me on a list and got a closer appointment yesterday. It is set for a week from thursday so as long as AF holds out for about 5 more days I will be good.

Briana, I hope that 5 more days pass and af just never shows!

9DPO and my temp dropped again today. Going to chart stalk BFPs who also had temp drops so I won't be completely disappointed redface.gif

Any updates from anyone else?

I have been chart stalking like crazy. I mean I have been looking at other charts for hours every day with different search results and stuff. I got a BFN today and some pre AF CM so I think I am out. I know there is always a chance until the fat lady sings but I think I need to get back to reality so it doesnt hurt so bad.

Shall we start a February thread? I'm still new and I don't want to mess up the count up top!

Hi I'm just jumping in here. I'm 25 and trying to conceive my second baby. We've been trying since the beginning of last summer. I just went to the doc yesterday to talk about my very long, sometimes non-existent cycles. He suggested I go on clomid. So, I got a prescription and am just waiting to start my period now.

I've been using OPKs and had a question about today's test. It had a pretty dark line. Within the 5 minute window, the line did not get quite as dark as the test line, but close. Just a few minutes later, it was darker than the test line. So, am I ovulating or gearing up to ovulate? What's the deal?

So I haven't been around for awhile, I'm sure some of you are wondering what happened.  I decided to take a break from TTC since I was still feeling uneasy about being pregnant again.  Some of you might remember that I'm pretty athletic so I was worried about losing my body again.  Well the DH and I decided to wait a year or at least until next August.  I've been soaking up sun, learning to windsurf, running, dancing, pilates, you name it.  Then last weekend I started feeling very constipated.  I went through a weekend of torture so on Monday I decided to go to our health unit for some meds.

I went to the health unit  b/c since we live abroad I didn't know any names of medications that could help my situation and they don't have prune juice.  The nurse asked the routine question, "Could you be pregnant?"  I hesitated and almost said "no" b/c we have been using condoms religiously for the past few months.  Then I thought about it and I remembered that the condom slipped off last time as my husband was exiting.  I caught the rim of the condom and was able to pull it out after a few seconds and I was pretty sure there was no spillage.  So I told the nurse that it was possible but not likely.  Since my period was due that day they decided to do a test before giving me the medications.  Guess what????? BFP!  I am still in shock and have not told my husband.  In Sept. we were actively trying with no success.  Oh the irony.  Anyway, I guess I will be having a baby in October!  I'm waiting until the 10th to tell my husband on our 4 year anniversary.
