Sinupret for 20 month old?

I just got some sinupret for my cold-plagued children.  DD is 20 months old, severe ear infections in both ears, and could use some immune support.  Packaging says not to give it to under 2.  What do you all think from your experience/wisdom?

We used it under 2 years with no problems.  It did have a bit of an alcohol-y taste though that DS didn't enjoy.
