Super-Painful AF since having DD2...any ideas on pain relief?

Ever since AF returned after having DD2 it has been horribly painful and very heavy and has been steadily getting worse each month.  I'm at a point that I can't even function.  The OB gave me Naproxen to help with the pain but it is not doing the trick, not to mention I really don't feel comfortable taking it round the clock while nursing.

So, ANY ideas of how to get this under control? Any holistic pain relief for menstrual pain?

Do you take calcium?  Calcium supplements worked wonders for me.

Yes try a Calcium Magnesium supplement. These minerals get depleted during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Take it at nighttime, everyday, away from any other supplements you might be taking.

I also find that 60 mg soy isoflavones taken for 5 days at the beginning of my cycle, has made my period both shorter and lighter. I only have 1 heavy day as opposed to 2 or 3, and it knocked a day of the length and my cramps are minimal. Beware though because it makes you really fertile too. Its also something I wouldnt do for more than 6 months.

A product called Estrosmart Plus! I didn't believe that it would actually take my bad cramps away, but I was supposed to take Vitex (which is one of the things in it) to normalize my cycles and it had worked for my mom to take away her cramps so I thought what the heck I'll try it and wow! is it ever amazing! No cramps! :)
