found raw guernsey dairy! BUT one big problem...

I found a source for unpasteurised guernsey milk/cream/butter etc.  They are 100% grassfed in the summer, it is a low input system - they only use a litte bit of nitrogen fertilizer on the grass. So far so good.

HOWEVER, the farmer told me that during the winter they get about 15% of their feed in the form of grain - a mix of soy, wheat and rapemeal. The soy is most likely genetically modified.

It sounded so good until he told me that! I was going to purchase the dairy only in the summer when 100% grassfed, but now i'm not so sure. Would the GM soy have any effect on the cows long term, that could possibly affect the milk even in the summer?

What do you guys think?

anyone?

a RAW milk source near us does the same, so went with homogenized dairy (all grass feed) instead - we just didn't want the soy in our diet- to each their own

Gotta choose what you think is best for you, no possibily of soy or the benfits of raw dairy? What are the alternatives? If you dob't want soy, then what would you drink instead?
