I've made hard decisions with pets, too(rehoming once and also putting one dog down) and even though I've gotten grief for it, I KNOW we made the right choice. Thank you for saying that :) I did know in my heart the very next day (once I stopped hysterically bawling long enough) that I made the right choice. And I know he's now happy living with adults only & a lab (he's always been a social dog & always particularly loved labs!) so that gives me some peace. It was the hardest, most heart-breaking decision I ever had to make, and I was glad DS was young enough -- 18mos I think -- to not fully understand what was going on (though he STILL talks about how he misses our dog sometimes, and I want to burst into tears when he says that!)
