Looking for a recycled pants tutorial

I bought a few wool sweaters at good will, I 'd like to chop them to make pants and a few soakers for DS, does anyone have a pattern or advise?

I made some without a pattern for ds, but when dd came along I used this pattern and they turned out great...thanks for bringing this up...she needs some new ones for sure!

Someone posted this great tutorial over at diaperswappers and i've made my son 4 pairs of longies using this pattern.  it is SO easy.  You'll never buy new again after realizing how easy it is to make such cute pants from thrifted sweaters. :)  I bookmarked the tutorial and just pop it open every time I want to make a pair...which reminds me I need to felt that cashmere sweater I found at thrift town the other day... :)
