I know a few times, my jaw literally dropped.  When Nikki confronted Carolanne was one time.  Are they trying to show how Carolanne as become exactly like her mother?  Selfish, manipulative, controlling, and decitful?  lol

And did it feel like Bill taking over Juniper creek, or tearing it down as it were, kinda came out of nowhere?

And Ben, oh dear ben.  What the heck was THAT?  I can be with both of you?  REALLY?

Cue the polar bears and the smoke monster, because things couldn't get more ridiculous.

Why did Bill tear down that house.  What WAS that house?  It wasn't the big house.

Do you mean when Nikki caught Carol Lynn on the phone talking to her teacher?  Or when she said all those horrible things to her in the middle of the night?

If you meant the second, I think it's more like Nikki accusing Carol Lynn of being all the things SHE (Nikki) is.  It was like a laundry list of all the shizz Nikki has pulled for the last 4 season: lying, seducing (remember that district attorney), secretly taking birth control pills.  Poor Carol Lynn.  The character of Nikki usually pisses me off (as I'm sure she's supposed to), but last night I really wanted to reach through the TV and smack her.  The smug looks she gave every time Bill sided with her, and how she ran right to Bill to tattle tale about Barb...ugh.

Do you think that Nikki and Bill really confronted the teacher, or did Nikki make that up?

Ben.  Ben, Ben, Ben.  I'd say that he and Rhonda deserve each other, but he's a wet noodle and she's a firecracker (a crazy one, but still too much for him to handle) and he'd move back in with his mommy in 6 months.

When has Barb had time to be attending another church?  For several weeks?  I feel like the time frame for the last few episodes has been DAYS, not WEEKS.  Right?

And that poor, sad neighbor.  They better not end her story there.

I'm really annoyed that Wanda and Joey have dropped off the face of the Earth. With as sick as Bill's mom has been, you'd think Bill would at least mention calling Joey to let him know.

I really don't know what to say about this weeks episode. I don't. It was just....dramatic.

I kinda enjoyed Nikki losing her mind and freaking out on her daughter. She said some awful things, but I really don't expect anything less from Nikki. think she's a pretty awful person!

Ben was trying to use his pimp-polgyamist hand and failed miserably. I found that funny too. He really should have known better when he got involved with the horrible horrible Rhonda.

Ok here are my comments

Nikki needs to be in the psych ward and I can't believe Bill didn't kick her to the curb yet but especially for her abuse of her daughter.

And really, if Bill qualifies for a CCW then the target accuracy requirement to get it means he would have been capable of hitting Albe in the head. Heck I am a better shot at that range than he was. That was pathetic.

oh and if he really means business, Bill needs a 45 pistol and not that baby 38 revolver he has. *shakes head*

Wow, that was intense.

I'm glad Margene is ok, I was worried for her! And Barb too.

I think Carol Lynn is following in her mother's footsteps but to a much lesser degree. All I could think of when Nikki was talking to her is that yes, well, she comes by it honestly, she comes from a LONG line of manipulators!

And Ben. Omg, Ben. "I can take care of both of you!" You'd think he grew up on the compound! Most women want to feel special and wanted for who they are, I don't think he's picked up on that.

I sort of liked the moment where the 3 women were gathered around the table discussing how things would go if they had to take care of things. It was sort of sweet to see them get teary together instead of making plans to stab each other in the back (Nikki) or hide from the issues (Margene).

And wow, poor what's her name from across the street. She really does a great ugly cry. Now that I'm thinking about it, wouldn't it be great if she had sister wives to help out? She's all alone over there, dealing with her own crazy stuff, keeping it bottled up. I hope things work out for her.

So one episode left?

I thought the same thing about Bill and the gun!  And did you hear Nikki whispering in the background "Do It!"

I just don't know what to say, what a freaking train wreck.

Frank stealing the copper made me laugh because, sadly, that type of thing happens where I live.  What a rednecky type of crime to commit!

I don't understand how Bill was able to tear down that building.  (I think it was the office)  I mean really, if members of the compound are willing to stand by Alby with guns, you think they would have put a roadblock up to stop the backhoe!

Oh thanks for posting that he was stealing the copper I couldn't figure out what the heck he was doing. But then I did FF past part of him and Lois because I'm just done with their freaky relationship.

And ya, it's a train wreck, at least we are almost done with it.

The copper stealing had me rolling, since I have family members who used to sit at their kitchen table stripping wires for the copper inside.  LOL

Anyone else watch the pre-episode before?  Upthread, someone mentioned how Alby's hair has evolved.  That was painfully obvious during that little prequel.

I dont know about the rest of you, but Im thoroughly enjoying Shameless, looking forward to Nurse Jackie and USA of Tara, Deadliest Catch will start some time next month, and Ive gotten lots of reading done.

Ciao Big Love! Bon Voyage!

I thought the building they tore down was the office of the UEB? At first I thought it was a church.

I remember how I felt at the end of watching LOST, how I was glued to the screen and dissecting every moment. I still feel sad almost a year later. I remember how I felt at the end of 6 Feet Under, Gilmore Girls, That 70's Show, Friends.... Big Love is just, eh. I made it this far, I might as well keep going. How sad is that

That is *exactly* how I feel about it. Granted I just started watching the show a couple weeks ago (I'm on S5E7 right now, quickly catching up).  This whole season seems so forced that I don't even care how it ends.  I just want to hurry up and see it so I can move onto a new show to watch when I'm bored.  I can't even tell you how many episodes I fell asleep watching.

Okay, I'm caught up now.  I can't believe Nicki freaking out on Carol-Lynn. What a psychopath!  Everything she said to her should have been said directly into a mirror.  Also, I wish Bill would have just shot Albee again.  I'm so sick of him.

Any last minute predictions before the final episode tonight?

Anything could happen.

How about a deal, where charges are dropped against Bill if he steps back from politics, takes over the compound and cleans it up? But if that happened, I could see the power going to his head ("For the greater good" and all that) and becoming just as bad for the compound in his own way.

I think all the wives will come together, be resealed etc.

I can see Bill also stepping back from Home Plus and turning the every day running of it to his partner (who I'm guessing won't have had time to sell yet).

I can see them retreating to the compound but cleaning it up.

Ben..... I think he's hopeless. lol.gif But I'm guessing Heather will forgive him and become just like Barb.

OR: Bill goes to jail, the family is torn apart, Ben marries those twins he was into a couple seasons ago and the moral of the story will be: "polygamy is bad, it will mess you up."

I can't even begin to predict where they will go with this finale. I tried but everything I came up with is nonsense, so I don't know what kind of nonsense the writers have thought of.

We will all be grateful that it's finally over and have a big farewell party in this thread

LOL

Wow, what an absolutely horrible and stupid ending. Really, after all that drama and twists and turns they take the total cop out ending and kill him off so they don't they have to actually resolve any of the storylines.

At least it's over. I can be grateful for that.

ITA. This was beyond ridiculous. All I can do is eyesroll.gif.

Oh and I admit I FF'ed past Lois and Bills dad, I was just done with their story by now.

I disagree...  I don't know how else they could have ended it without it being absolutely absurd. It wasn't a perfect ending but at least everyone (meaning the main characters) got what they wanted (even Bill, sort of) . I don't think any other ending could have really fit and still went with the theme of the show.

Not saying it was perfect at all :) But at least it makes sense and I don't have to think about it for months after (Like I still do with Lost, lol)

I wish that would have happened like 3 seasons ago, lol

The whole thing about Barb becoming a leader in the church thing because Bill asked for a blessing when he was dying totally lost me.  I think I am just bitter that they made that massive leap in the last few minutes.  Enough with the leaps!  Anyway, I am glad it was a more or less settled ending.  It did answer the question of whether the wives were ultimately committed to the family as a whole or just to Bill.

Didn't like Margene's hair LOL
