Chiropractor and thermal scanner

What are your opinions on the thermal scanner during pregnancy? I can only really find statements from other Chiropractors claiming it is 100% safe. Is there any radiation?

My FIL is and MD who runs a homeopathic clinic that has a thermal scanner.  I will send him and email and ask him about it.  He always does an inordinate amount of research regarding any service he offers and I am sure he will have some info to provide.  I will let you know what he says.

Thanks!

Okay - so he said that it indeed does NOT have any radiation and is the equivalent of having a photograph taken with high resolution equipment.  He agreed that it is perfectly safe during pregnancy, but is skeptical about its accuracy.  Since it is based on relative heat within the body, any area that is scanned and near the abdomen and fetus would read abnormally high (obviously because of the fetus and increase in blood flow to the area) and probably greatly distort the images - he thinks it would not be able to give accurate information because of that.

Hope that helps!  Good luck!
