My youngest son is 4, he was born at 26 weeks. He is an awsome little guy. He has autism, spd, seizures, and some eye problems, other then that he is healthy. But still I lay awake at night and worry about him. I feel like lately i'm in constant fear, and i'm not sure why. How do I let go of this fear and just enjoy the amazing boy and everything that makes him, him?

Focus on the great things. Â Focus on his health. Â Realize that you have no idea what lies in store for him or any of you and that worrying about it is just exuding a negative energy that you can pretty much guarantee isn't going to be good or healthy for any of you. Â You KNOW that, right? Â
Â
Control your mind. Â How you manage to relax yourself enough to do that can take a variety of forms... but find something. Â When you find yourself worrying, try to shift to focus on good things. Â Keep pictures on your nightstand of things will help you do this. Â Picture the future you want for him and for you. Â The universe has a way of shifting to meet the energy you put "out there". Â Use some guided meditation if it helps. Â Read a positive or helpful book until you're so tired that you put it down and immediately fall asleep (and if your mind is still racing, pick it back up again). Â Do some yoga.
Â
I realize you can't "just stop". Â But try to find something that helps you shift your focus.
Â
Hugs to you...

I agree with trying yoga. I use Wai Lana dvds and her beginning dvd is only 30 minutes long. Also, last year, before ds' diagnosis and treatment, having my morning coffee all alone was so important I woke up early to do it. This year I sit with younger dd while I drink it.

You can view some samples of her DVDs here http://www.google.com/search?q=wai+lana+video&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
