Books on Christian parenting?

Can anyone recommend some books on Christian parenting? And while you're at it, books on marriage when you have kids? We have books from when we first got married, but they're not very helpful anymore cause now our problems and stress is due to kids!

i love any thing by Dr. Sears.  Attachment Parenting.  I don't know if he has one for older children.

Connection Parenting by Pam ???  her idea is to connect with your child before you correct.  Small easy to read.

ETA  I just realized that these aren't necessarily focused on being Christian, but Sears is a Christian.  Don't know about Pam but her book is so gentle and logical.

I second Dr. Sears' books.

He has one called The Successful Child and another called The Discipline Book. He and his sons have a whole bunch of books out. I recommend them all!

I don't like Dr Dobson's take on raising kids. He refer to kids as "ankle biters" and just generally gives me the impression that he thinks kids do not deserve the respect that adults do.

I would also highly highly highly recommend Alfie Kohn's book on Unconditional Parenting. I think this parenting style mirrors God's love for us and the love that we should have for others.

Disclaimer: I haven't read all of these but they are recommended on the Gentle Christian Mothering site, which I do respect.

Biblical Parenting by Crystal Lutton

The Five Love Languages of Children by Chapman & Ross

How Would Jesus Raise Your Child? by Theresa Whitehurst

Christian Parenting & Child Care by the Sears

Other ones that I've come across, but haven't had the time to check out:

Christlike Parenting: Taking the Pain Out of Parenting

Grace-based Parenting by Tim Kimmel

Can't remember titles, but Tricia Goyer and Barbara Curtis have both written books on motherhood/parenting (not so much how-to, but encouragement).  Both excellent writers and both have wonderful things to share.

Anything by Gregory Popcak. He is a Catholic, like the Sears (if that matters). The foreword in one of his books was written by the Sears. Very AP stuff.

I have only read 2 of his books, but Gary Thomas is EXCELLENT.

Sacred Marriage and Sacred Parenting are the two I have read - I keep them, underline in them, refer to them, remember them... The books are generally about approaching marriage and parenting from how they form us into more holy people - so the books aren't about changing others or about quick fixes, but about seeing how the relationships of marriage and parenting can be used by God.

I second the sacred marriage and parenting books, and can add Shepherding a Child's Heart, great book!  Love and Respect is an awesome marriage book (they have a seminar too) that will affect every area of your lives, even the kids!
