Not sure if this is the correct forum, but I'll try it anyway! I really want to start baking bread at home, we recently moved to the Lake Tahoe area and I am flabbergasted by the costs of bread in the grocery stores here! I can't keep spending almost $5.00 for half loaves of bread, especially if I could just make it myself.

We live at 6500 ft. and baking has been problematic for me so far - I made a bunch of Christmas cookies to send back east to family and they all fell flat in the oven. Has anyone baked bread at high altitude before with good results? Especially if you've made GF bread, I'd really love to hear from you!! Thanks so much ![]()
