I have a good friend who just miscarried, and I was on the phone with her last night and she was telling me about her research into miscarriage. She read that something like 50% of women experience at least some spotting in the first tri. That made me feel better. But still.
I now seem to remember this sort of pale spotting when I DTD in my last pg.
We DTD last night (sorry, way TMI) and this morning I am spotting bright red, more blood. I hope I just have a very blood-filled, tender cervix right now and that I am irritating it.
Smurfy, it's comforting to me that your midwife said dark brown and heavy is when to worry. Thanks for posting that. How are you this morning?
I know miscarriages are very common, my midwife said it's like 1 in 3, but I also know spotting is as well. This morning I am extremely sick! I almost threw up or passed out in the shower, or both, this is the worst I've been yet, so I guess that's a good sign. I have a lot of reasons for what could be causing the bleeding but of course my mind keeps wandering to the other. For one I've been fighting off a yeast infection, the doctor did a swab the other day, so I guess that could've bumped the cervix a bit, plus instering the applicators with the creams could be doing it. It hasn't increased at all and last night there was a very small amount of pink on the applicator. Oh and the midwife did say that sex can do it as well, though with the yeast infection that hasn't been a problem for us. I don't think you can of TMI on here, we're all here for the same purpose and it's not always pretty!
