MS -- given your job, being bored at work must be a good thing! Thanks again for the ddddc.

Schatz, your experience with getting out of bed is why I have gotten up before my daughter three times since she was born. If I get up, she wakes up.

While I love taking credit for the lack of rain this week, I will deny all accusations of fault in future draughts. (Man this is fun )

No running today. I get home from work late on Fridays and I'm just beat. If I make it out tomorrow, though, it'll mean a 5 day running week. Yeah!

Well, I went running last night. It was a bit of a fiasco! DS & I set out (run 3 mins; walk1) when a HUGE dust and rain storm hit. We were about a 1.5-2 miles from home. The wind was so strong, I had to pull the stroller backwards. A family stopped and offered us a ride. We arrived home to water all over the living room floor, a blown in screen and a frantic dog. Phew all because I wanted to go running

Today was rainy again, but I plan on hitting the trail again tomorrow. Hopefully we fair better. At least dh is off work and can watch ds...

Hope there wasn't too much dammage!!! Hope your run today was much better! Less stressful.
Well, I didn't go for a run yesterday. So looks like this wk will be a four run wk....If I go today!!! I really should go. I'm just not feeling overly motivated...it snowed ALL NIGHT! ANd it looks REALLY cold outside!!!!!
I just got off the phone with my sister, who lives in Vancouver. She ended telling me what she got me for my bday...
Two bike packs! Rainproof/breathable pants and jacket...all to make my biking commute that much more enjoyable! I"m so touched by her generosity, and her kindness!!! My back has been killing me from biking with the (*&%& backpack full of stuff!!!! So, I'm very eager to get my mail this week!!!!

I will put my stats in AFTER my run today...yes, I will go!!!!

Proudmom -- Yikes! What an adventure. I'm glad to hear everyone's ok. I hope any damage is minimal.

MS-- I'm thinking I need new shoes soon as well. I looked for the same shoes I have on ebay but didn't find any. Sigh. How much weight are you carrying on your back while biking? Is your seat at the right height? I've got saddle bags and waterproof pants for biking -- they definitely make it easier to go everyday.

My weekly totals (Sunday-Saturday):
Aerobic exercise: 491 minutes (150 bike, 124 jog, 217 walk)
210 situps, 150 pushups (25 of them from the toes).

I only went jogging 4 times, but we ended up walking over 5 miles Friday evening, and then I did nearly the same walk again on Saturday.

I went out today without Karen (no potatoes, either) and was able to go 30 minutes without stopping. I'm halfway to a 10k!

Biking:160 mins
Running:125 mins

Push ups:90

This wk, I will do much better. I promise. I had a lazy wk last wk...being my birthday and all :

Hey! I just started a thread about training for a marathon and then discovered there's already an MDC running club!

Is it okay if I join? I'm starting my training this week (actually started on Saturday) and am hoping to run the Marine Corps Marathon in October (fingers crossed that I get a spot!). It's going to be a real challenge... I've always run fairly regularly, but never really long distances, and hardly at all in the past few months. Can you say jiggly butt? :LOL

Welcome, Dragonfly. Yes, please do join us. We've got a new thread for this week going http://www.mothering.com/discussions...26#post1290126

I'm running a 5-mile race on April 24 and hoping to run a 10-mile race on July 24. My loose long range goal is a marathon by the time I'm 40 (turned 35 in January) but I also hope to fit in two more babies between now and then so we'll see. Good for you in training for a marathon!

Come visit the new thread!

~Hope
