Chicken pox party in the Tacoma/Seattle area?

I have been thinking about this for a long time. I don't know why I haven't thought of posting here. My kids are 6, 8, and almost 2. My older two were vaccinated...back before I started thinking about myself. But I'd love to test the vaccine! Does anyone's kids have the pox so I can come rub my kids on theirs? lol

It seems pretty rare these days I haven't been able to find it lately. Almost had a chance a couple of year ago but ds refused.

A friend of mine in Edmonds had them at her house a week ago and some mutual friends got exposed.... if THEY get them I'll bring MY kids to the pox, and then I'll come back here and let you know if we're available to share!  (got that? )

my ds is only 11mo right now.  so this is about a year too early (I think... although does age really matter?  for some reason closer to 2 makes ME feel better but I'm not sure why).  I always watch posts like this to get an idea of how difficult it is to find the "wild" virus :)

I had chicken pox at 2 my sister at 3 months ds us 8 months and if I find it we will try I think he is old enough

If you get them, I'd love to come expose my little boys!

With my other children, I found that it took more than one exposure to catch the pox.  The nursing babies, in particular, had a harder time catching it.  We did the lollipop trick each time but it wasn't until the third exposure that we were successful.

yes, after I posted my hesitation about his age I started to reconsider.  ::sniff, sniff:: my baby is growing up :)

I still think I would need to pass for at least a month just because of timing for his first birthday and a short family vacation.
