Is it possible to get acrylic paint out of carpet? :(

I got latex paint out.  I'm assuming acrylic would be very similar. 

 

My solution (because I had it on hand) was nail polish remover.  The full stregnth stuff, not the non-acetone.  Dab dab dab dab dab.  DO NOT RUB.  Dab dab dab dab.  Takes a long time but works beautifully.

 

Rumor has it vodka will do it too but I didn't have any of that.

 

Mine was green paint on almost white carpet that sat there for about 6 weeks under a drop cloth.  Ooops!  It all came out.
