That is enough to get me through CD30 and beyond a week. Yeah! One thing I just found out though, my pharmacy said that they got notification that the manufacturer has discontinued producing the Crinone 8% all together. Has anyone else heard of this? I am going to call my RE in the morning and ask about this.

mindfulmomma - What!!!!!!  Really?  Wonder why?  I googled it to see if I could find anything and the only thing I found was that places seem to be running out of it/back ordered or something.  The person online had to keep calling different pharmacies until she found one that had some.  Maybe try that!!!   Weird.  I sure hope in a month or so when I go to order it they will have it.  Good luck!!

Ceccy -  Welcome!!!! Hope your stay here is short and sweet and you get your BFP soon!!

Well - no such luck being pregnant this month. I am went to 16 days DPO rather than my normal 12. I think I will do the vaginal suppository next month and see how that works. has anyone noticed the side effects bring more pronounced with vaginal suppository?

Good luck to all of us!

Hey Ceccy! I hope that your appointment went well! Also, hopefully, the RE gave you a suggestion on the prenatal vitamin. If not, from what I'm reading, prenatal vitamins are very similar regardless of whether they are prescription or not. Therefore, you may be able to find one at your pharmacy. Just be sure that it has at least 800mcg of folic acid. I also think that B6 or B complex is important and you may want to take an additional pill because prenatal vitamins don't seem to have much B6 in them. I also take extra Vitamin D. My doctor said I had low levels and I did some research and found that vitamin D is low in many women suffering from infertility. Before I started supplementing with vitamin D, my cycles ranged from 40-50 days. The next cycle after I took vitamin D, my cycle was about 35 days. It was great!

Good luck and keep us updated on how you're doing! I am finishing my clomid cycle today and going to visit my RE Thursday morning (cd9) too see how my endometrial lining is faring and to see whether I have any possible follicles. My gosh, this is time consuming!!

LittleEricJenn, sorry about this month!  mecry.gifI hope you have better luck next month!!

baby dust to all!

Renavoo - good luck to you with the Clomid! I hope things go well at the RE office. I agree about the vitamins. Very important! As for Vitamin D, I too take a supplement (along with B6, E and Omega 3). I heard that even 15 minutes out in the natural sunlight will do the trick as well.

Hi Ceccy, I'm sorry about the bad news. crap.gif

Check out this website: http://www.gettingpregnant.co.uk/premature_ovarian_failure.html

It seems to discuss what your options are with premature menopause (or premature ovarian failure), if that is what you ultimately end up being diagnosed with. Hopefully, the doctor can either try hormonal supplementation or, probably a better bet if possible, you go right into in-vitro fertilization. I don't know how expensive it is in Germany but it may be one of the best options for you.

As for your DH, don't be too hard on him. This is probably very stressful for him as well. I don't know anything about your dynamics with your DH but are you guys really consumed with this? If so, your DH may just be trying to find a way to escape from the stress. Personally, I know my DH is stressed and I am as well but we really just try to not think about it too much day to day and enjoy life as much as we can. I always think that until I have a child, I have some form of freedom to go on vacation without worrying, etc. Maybe taking your mind off of it a bit will help. Please try that because then, hopefully, your DH will start taking you to your appointments again. Also, if you really want him there, you should let him know that it would mean a lot to you if he would join you. I find that my DH doesn't always know when things really matter to me. If I ask him to do something for me, he will bend over backwards to get it done. If I don't ask, he doesn't know, and then I end up stewing because I thought he SHOULD know how important it is to me. haha luckily, I'm starting to kick the habit of not saying something!

LittleEricJenn, I can't wait until spring time! The cold weather and spending all my time indoors is really grating on my last nerves. haha and how do I get the vitamin D naturally, if I can't stand outside and absorb the sun?

Ceccy - Keeping my fingers crossed that your blood work comes back fine and not Pre-mature menopause!!!  I'm not sure, but maybe acupuncture could help with this issue.  Have you ever tried that? It can't hurt, that is for sure!!  Good luck to you and keep us posted!!

Help! So I have really thin lining and progesterone is therefore, really important. I told my RE that I had awful side effects on prometrium oral so she prescribed crinone gel. I then find out that my insurance does not cover it so each 2 week vial will cost $315. I can't justify the cost...if that is the case, my DH and I think we should just go onto IVF! Anyway, I had asked my RE if I could take prometrium vaginally but they suggested against it because they said the absorption isn't as good. I can't even call them at all because of the holiday! Does everyone think I should take prometrium orally and just try to deal with the side effects (hoping that my DH and I don't divorce because of my mood swings!!!) or should I just use prometrium vaginally? THANK YOU!!!

Good questen Renavoo - I was going to start taking it vaginally as well. I have heard the opposite that it absorbs better because it doesn't have to go through the liver, etc. Interested to find out myself otherwise I may take it orally again too!

Hmm just got my IUI yesterday. My doctor wasn't in so she sent me to another clinic to get the IUI. Interestingly, the IUI was cheaper at this clinic, making me wonder if I should just go there for the next one too. Hey $150 saved is pretty good considering the cost of everything! Anyway, the doctor who did the IUI said that absorption is the same so I should just take the IUI vaginally. Three doctors, three explanations. Do you ever think that even physicians have no idea what they are talking about? eyesroll.gif

Anyway, I will take it vaginally this month to try it out. After doing all this research, I'm also annoyed that my re didn't put me on estrogen. I mean, it seems other people are getting estrogen to help with lining! Not that I want to infuse more hormones into my body but darn it, this is getting expensive quick!

Good luck! When is your 2ww over?

My two week wait lasted 16 DPO. Without the progesterone it would have been 12 so it added four days. Now I'm on day 9 for this next cycle. Going to start my ovulation tests again today. Hope this go around is better! Now I'm not sure what to do with the Progesterone. I wonder how it affects the  liver. I don't know if I should take orally at night or vaginally. . . sounds like the doctors you have spoken to don't have much of an opinion either way.

As I said before, your doc could order generic crinone from local pharmacy,,,when I told my clinical nurse that 200$ is too much for me, she said it's possible to get application for 1$, they just need to give some time to order and ship,,,

I started crinone this month, it's not bad,,,But you have to take it in the morning, not before sleep, otherwise it wont move around, will stay there and then fell out,,,thats what I was told by my RE

Hi Ladies! LittleEricJenn, good luck this cycle-i always feel like this is so consuming but it's all worth it if we finally get our BFP! Lega, I'll check out my local pharmacy options! I'm surrounded by CVS, Duane Reade and Walgreens-the first two didn't even carry Crinone and had to order it for me (but it would have been 300 dollars) and Walgreens had it but again, it was 300.00. It sounds like I need to find a compounding pharmacy? I've been taking the prometrium vaginally and honestly, it is so easy. I definitely don't feel the crazy side effects that I felt while taking them orally. Perhaps a little tired but that could just be me. I, of course, don't know if it's working. haha it's so funny because at least if there are side effects, i KNOW the drug is getting into my system. Right now, I'm just hoping that it's helping my uterus but I don't know!

My breasts have become sensitive the last few days (I'm 4 DPO) so I think I'm making a good amount of progesterone, which is good. I stopped temping because my DH asked me to-he said that it makes me so stressed out that since we're being followed by physicians, I should let that go. Once in a while, I'll sneak a measurement, just because I want to be sure my temp is higher than it usually is! ;o)

Thanks treehugginhippie! That was an informative link and it does make me feel better. The other doctor i went to to get my IUI said the same thing, that they are both effective but the vaginal application reduces side effects. We'll see in a few days if that works! I've also started to take a baby aspirin because i was reading that could increase blood flow to the uterus. My doctor said it wouldn't help but I was reading that it couldn't hurt. What do you ladies think?

Ceccy, GOOD LUCK! I really hope you find what you are looking for in Africa. Please keep us updated and be safe. Most important, enjoy! I bet it'll be an amazing experience!

Hello all I have been MIA due to being on Vacationa and family stuff. Well I am CD4 now. I went to 16DPO with the Crinone. I started spotting and then on Monday went all out. Wow! I have been feeling better to be honest. Sleeping better. Mood swings weren't nearly as bad this cycle with the Crinone. While I was hoping that I would get pregnant the first shot I am happy to say that they are not discontinuing the Crinone. My Pharmacist got bad intel. I also was able to get a 15 day supply for $10.40. Turns out my insurance will cover b/c I am not using it to get pregnant but it is to prevent m/c. Co-Pay was $40.40, but my RE gave me a $30 coupon. Yippie!  I have decided nto to temp this cycle and just POAOPKS to see when I "O" and then just go with it. Best of luck to us all
