I assume you have a hunting type store there (Cabela's-ish).  Go in there and see what you can find about hunter's education.  Or check out your state fish and wildlife office.  I think once you get around hunters, you'll be able to find out alot more about hunting and even find somebody you can hunt with.

Take a hunters safety course which is required to get a hunting license anyways. Keep target practicing. That's all you really need to do besides getting out there and hunting. You don't really need to worry about shooting a moving target cause deer do a lot of slowly grazing and standing still to check for predators. Take your shot then. Shot placement is important & they cover that in the course. You can also get targets shaped like deer. The best way to learn is really to go do it.
