When a thread is removed

Thread Starter

Is there any way to have the thread redirect to the subforum instead of just returning an error? I frequently refresh a thread the next morning only to have it show up as an error. Then I have to remember where the thread was and track it down to see if the thread is ever returning or if it has been disappeared 1984 style.

Frequently? Unfortunately, there is no way to avoid the error message. We try to do our best to not remove threads, but it does happen sometimes due to the volume of posts contained in the thread that violated the User Agreement. It's always helpful for members to report "bad" posts as they see them so entire threads don't have to be removed in the first place and to give the forum's moderator a "heads up" so she can prevent removal. We understand that many don't want to report, but it is helpful.

When a thread is removed, moderators will do their best to remove the inappropriate posts and get the thread back to the board as soon as possible. Our standard policy is to leave a removal notice in the forum when a thread is removed so members are aware. As volunteers, they do have other commitments so if you ever have questions about a thread's status, please feel free to PM them on a thread's status.
