Need articles on toddler discipline

My DH would like to read some short articles on toddler disciple (DS is 23mos). He is totally on-board with not spanking etc. so I'm not necessarily looking for 'anti-violence' articles but more... how to avoid power struggles, instill confidence, choose your battles, avoid making it a game, etc. I have shared with him some of what I've picked up but I think he'd like to read some info from a third party so he's not just mirroring my parenting, you know? He is more strict than I, and leans toward a "he needs to know I'm in charge" approach to discipline, but I think he (and DS!) would benefit from trying a more playful, laid-back approach.

Sooo... he probably wouldn't read a whole book... share some articles please!!

I know you asked for articles, but I'm going to mention 2 book anyway because I think

a) they're good for "parent in charge" kind of GD, and

2) they're easy, quick, good reads with lots of helpful information, beyond just theory.

The Secret Of Parenting:  How to be in charge of today's kids, from toddlers to teens, without threats or punishments"  by Anthone Wolfe

and

Playful Parenting  by Larry Cohen

Anthony Wolfe's book, in particular, I think is great, most especially for dads coming from a more authoritarian background - he's geared towards a kid a little older, but still giving the info on why kids do what they do, variations of  conversations/scripts you can have, and funny anecdotes really make it a good read  and you can still apply the info to a younger kid for your own knowledge of their motives.  I will throw out there that he puts the F word in there a couple times within a quote of something a kid might say, so if that would offend you you might want to skip the part with old teens and rough language.

As far as articles go, Jan Hunts "Natural Child Project" has a lot of great web articles.

Good luck and happy reading!
