7th Generation Diaps for newborns

Has anyone had any experience with these?  We cloth diapered my son from the time he was about 10 mos until he potty trained, but we did Huggies when he was a newborn.  I honestly can't imagine cloth diapering a newborn with everything else going on now too - trying to get older son to school/lunch packed, etc.  Right now I am having trouble getting regular laundry done.

Anyway, my brother and SIL used 7th Generation w/ their newborn and had really bad leaking problems.  I never had trouble w/ 7th Generation when we used them on DS when we traveled (or sometimes I'd stick one on him while washing my cloths).

If you had trouble with 7th Generation, are there any other chlorine free diaps that you used on your newborn that were better?

I used 7th Gen disposables on my newborn for the first week and a half and never had a leak - and this one is a heavy wetter!  When we switched to cloth, I tried using the newborn inserts in our bumGenius diapers, and he soaked right through them, whereas with our first, we used the newborn inserts for at least a month before switching to the regular inserts.

We used 7th Gen on DS when he was a newborn. Never had a leak - they're my favourite of all the disposables.

we've used these since birth and i absolutely love them. whenever it happens that i have to put sth else on him, i cringe. i dont like the smell and feel of huggies or pampers or any of those. my son has never had a diaper rash until my MIL bought him a store brand claiming they are just as good, he broke out into a rash the first day he wore those.

they ve never leaked either. including one instance when my son was with me - my husband - my mil - my bil and noone bothered to check his diaper assuming the person before changed it, when i took it off of him that night, i swear it weight as much as my son. it still didnt leak.

maybe they got a bad batch or sth?

I agree that 7th Gen work just fine, but another good option for disposibles is Earth's Best.  They work just as well, and they're cheaper.  You don't get the nice natural colour you get with the 7th Gen (they're white), but they're still chlorine-free.  In Canada there's also the PC Green diapers which are even cheaper still, and also quite good.

The problem I've found with all disposibles though is that there are fairly regular poop blowouts up the back, so you just end up doing a different kind of poop laundry.

Any info on Whole Foods diapers?  My SIL told me she'd been told that 7th Generation colors their diapers brown to make them look more unbleached.  Think this is true?

More unbleached? That's hilarious!

Not because I think it might not happen... more because I could see it happening... I suppose you could contact 7th Gen and ask...
