I might buy some used and they are one-size type that someone is selling. Pros/cons...?  Thinking this might be the type we want to start w/ since we're new to CDing.  She has 15 for sale, then 3 of gro baby. all w/ liners.

We use the BGs at night, they're great for preventing leaks. If I stuff with hemp, 6 mo. DD can go all night with no change. But they aren't the slimmest fitting diaper, and I prefer something without a lot of bulk between the legs for daytime. Just my 2cents.gif!

I have BG 3.0s and prefolds w/ covers, and I go back and forth about which I prefer.  The hook & loop (velcro) on the BG wore out after about a year, but was fairly simple to replace (at least, I hear it was - my mom did it for me).  You also have to be very diligent to follow the care instructions exactly on BGs - I started out using a detergent that wasn't on the recommended list, but didn't have any of the additives on the "don't use these" list, and ended up with leak issues.   The BGs are also quicker to develop odor problems and have to be stripped than the prefolds.  But I like the simplicity of the pocket diaper for nursery workers who are only familiar with disposables.

Check the leg elastic carefully. My BG 3.0s all lost the elasticity in the legs - they need new elastics.
