Regular Ergo vs. ERGObaby Performance?

I've seen a new Ergo Performance on Amazon and am wondering about it.  I'd like to get another Ergo because my Ergo Sport (so soft and so lovely) is getting all bent at the waist band (does anyone else's do that?  Is there a way to fix it?). 

I'm partial to the traditional Ergo's sleep hood, especially for back carries.  I read the reviews on Amazon for the Ergo Performance and didn't see much mention of the sleep hood.  Can anyone talk to me about that at all?  Or give me a comparison/review on the two Ergos?
