post #2 of 41/8/11 at 1:08pmI just wash the flanges, bottles and the little things that go inside the flanges and the rubber things that go in between the cap and the part that goes onto my pump. I pretty much wash it all except the tubes and the cap that is attached to that. I don't know if the tubes need to be washed or how often/ The instructions say not to wash them.

i didn't bother cleaning the tubes, but the flanges, cup-shaped diaphragm thing, valves, and bottles got washed each time. basically anything that came into contact with milk.
okay thanks, sounds like everything except the tubes, so then that would be the only thing in the extra kit i wouldn't need. so I will probably just wait until i actually get the pump and price things to see if it is cheaper to get the extra kit or the pieces individually.
