Uhm...guys?

So, I haven't been around for a really long time. Baby was born, no more lounging in bed, dh was gone on a long buisness trip, etc

But, she's 15.5 weeks old now.  And I think I just got a positive pregnancy test.  Any chance it's leftover hcg?  Probably not an evap line...it is very faint, but enough that I have to admit it was there.  And it was there before the control line was.  But still very faint.

And I have no idea how to guess when I'd be due.  Should I just figure 38 weeks from here?  If it was faint it probably means it's still early.

Seriously...what are the odds, do you think...of me actually being pregnant again already?

Whew.

Well, I just took another test.  Equate, by the way.  And, it was another very faint blue line.  Right away.  Looks kinda like if you drew with a thin-line mechanical pencil.

What do you think?  Somebody, please?

My baby isn't a great nurser, but I've NEVER (and this is baby #4) been ABLE to be pg again this soon.  I would be excited, though a bit over-whelmed...

Sounds like you're pg to me!  Congratulations!!!

Try a pink line test to be sure? Blue lines are known for false positives...

If you are would you consider a dating ultrasound? they are really accurate this early on (before 10 weeks) I had to with this pregnancy, but I conceived (in retrospect) when DS was 7.5 months.

Good luck!!!! and congratulations!

Maybe take a digital.  No questioning there!  Although it would be very unlikely you are pregnant, especially if you are breastfeeding, it is possible.  Keep us updated!!

I would try a test that's not blue-dye also.

I would use a FRER or a CBE digital ... the blue line tests have a high false positive rate for some reason.

Seconding another test. If you hadn't gotten your fertility back early before, and you've been practicing all the rules for LAM, it is very unlikely that you could get pregnant- but possible!

Test with a real test.  (and let us know!)

One blue dye and I would be skeptical and POAS again...two blue dyes telling me yes and I'd be less likely to question it. I know blue dyes have been known to confuse...but you don't sound confused! You sound like you're seeing lines...congratulations!

I would take a pink test - like a FRER.  I've heard of people getting those super duper thin lines which are just artifacts and not true BFPs.

What made you decide to start testing?  Do you have symptoms?

Good luck!

Thanks for the replies, ladies!

We don't use bc, so we decided I should test once a month to help date a pg.  My babies seem to be getting closer together!  26 months, then 21 months, 19 months...and maybe now (12-13 months).  Anyway, it's never been a concern this early because my dh has always been deployed or at a school when the baby was this little, lol.  Let's see...with the first, I had a few funny cycles starting at 13 months.  After a few of those (and I'm not sure I ever had a regular one), I was pg with number two.  Cycles came back around 6 months, but irregularly, with number two.  At 12 months, I was pg with number 3.  (My dh was gone for half of that 6 months, though.)  Last time, I never got a ppaf.  That was 9 months.  So, although I do exclusively bf until 12 months, it wouldn't totally suprise me.  And, yes, I do follow all the rules...no pacifiers, nurse on demand, nurse all night, etc.  Anyway, dh is home this time (just got back), so we thought I should test regularly since I might not know and we'd rather not have ultrasounds.

I assumed it would be negative, but in retrospect realizing that I was ignoring several major symptoms!  (Things I have every time).  I just thought it was impossible at this point!  Since I have 2 more blue dye tests, and we live in the country and it's a pain to go to the store, dh said to wait one week and do those again.  It's TORTURE, lol.  And he said, "Please don't waste them and do it early.  Just wait."  AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...... :)

I'll let you all know what happens.  :)

So, I convinced dh to let me try one of the two blue dye tests I have.  And the line was there again.  He didn't think it was anymore than the last time, but I could see a line on one side, and then the rest of where the thick line should be was a shadow.

So I guess it looks like "yes".  But, he said he'll bring home a better test tomorrow.  Yeah!  I'd really like to have some closure to this.  Though, I think I do...and I think I am.

Whew.

Did he bring home the better test yet?

no.  he'll get it on his way home from work.  i used the last one i had this am...and the line is still there.  (nak)  That makes four blue dye tests.  I thought back really hard (it's been a crazy few weeks), and I think I would just now be 4 weeks.

:) I love the avatar, PinkBunch!

Well, an ept digital said no.  I'm going to do it again in the morning, though.

I would have been happy if it was yes, but I feel like life began again today!  Whew.

And the official answer is...

NO.

Whew.

Been following along!  Whew.  But man, what does that tell you about blue dye tests!?  They are just evil!
