Gender swaying...

Have any of you tried anything to sway the sex of your baby?

I tried Shettles with my last baby (to get a girl) and I got my beautiful 2nd son. After more research, I was thinking about trying O+12 the next time we try. Have any of you had success with that?

I went on a swaying forum, and BOY are there a lot of things to try! I won't go THAT into it, but the acidic diet and O+12 does seem pretty doable for me.

Have you ever tried gender swaying? Did it work out in the sway you planned for?

After 2 girls, I thought it couldn't hurt to attemtp things to sway gender - although we would've been happy with either. I did Shettles AND the alkaline diet and whether coincidental or not, we have a son. :)

This is interesting: http://www.tibetanmedicine-edu.org/index.php/n-articles/tibetan-embryology-3

Basically, it says

conception on (even) CD 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, etc. = boy

conception on (odd) CD 5, 7, 9, etc = girl

We happened to BD on CD14 and CD16 when we were ttc our first and sure enough, DS was born :)

I swayed (for a girl) with our 3rd child with Shettles and diet and we were blessed with a 3rd beautiful son. We are somewhat swaying now, but this time I've decided to hold to faith that if I'm meant to be the mother of a daughter while in this life, then I will be. If not, then, that's ok. But it's taken a long time to get to this point.

We haven't tried it, but looking back, we did things that should have meant girl and had a son. Now we did things that should have meant son and we are having a girl. That, to me, proves there's not much control over it. What will happen will happen.

By the way, we just did whatever for each child. Afterward I looked back and noticed how it aligned. We decided we'd rather let nature choose (despite wanting a girl this time) rather than trying to gender sway and have it take longer to happen.... and maybe get a boy anyway.

I've seen alot of perfect sways go wrong and alot of sloppy sways result in the desired gender. So, who knows. In all honesty, I think you will get what you are meant to, unless you go high tech with it.

I came across this site when I was pregnant with DD. I don't know how sound the science is, but it would be worth a shot:

We did Shettles for a boy and got a boy and I honestly believe it was purely by accident!  I was thinking to try O + 12 for trying for a girl.  Will only do the acidic diet along with taking magnesium, calcium and cranberry supplements.  I am not so inclined to chart my BT, sounds like work.  Eating I can do!  I know what O pains feel like so when I get those I'll start counting down the hours to when....

This is pretty cool to me, does anyone want to look if they already have children and see if it is accurate? If it is, could be that your diet has less to do with gender and more with just your age and when you conceive!

Right for 1 out of the 3 children I currently have.

It was right for me. And this year is good for me since I want a girl. :p

I don't have any children yet so I wasn't sure it works. I did check it for my mom and my sister, they were right. It was wrong for a friend I checked. Guess it is just luck of the draw!

The Chinese chart was correct for all of my babies so far, but I wouldn't put too much stock in it.  As for gender swaying, I also believe that we have very little control over it.  If you seriously want to try gender swaying, you can try www.in-gender.com.  They have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the forums.

Says my son should have been a daughter, however it says this one should be a daughter and that's what we were told she is. 50/50 accuracy, just like about everything else I've seen, LOL.
