First delivery was natural unmedicated birth, second was induced so of course lead to C/S, third was planned C/S as thought there was no choice! Â This time we would like to try for a VBAC and just wondering if anyone else has had a VBAC after two C/S'? The pregnancy itself is very low risk.

I have a dear friend who had two c-sections and a vaginal birth without meds for her last baby. It can be done. You can do it!
I think the hardest part of VBAC is finding care providers who are not fear mongering, willing to truly support vs giving lip service, and not affraid of VBAC.
You can VBAC! How can I help you accomplish that goal?

Thank you! Â We will be delivering in Arkansas so they currently have a VBAC ban of which I'm finding trying to find out more about it. Â I just want us to able to have a natural unmedicated birth like you would be able to get at home and have those freedoms that come along with it, but we are stuck in giving birth in the hospital!Â
We are not due until August so we have time to find what we are looking for.  I'm just coming up with dead ends at the moment! How do we find an OB and a hospital willing to support us in our labor and birthing choices???!!!

The hospital has a ban? Midwives are banned from attending?
Â
A great way to find a HCP is by contacting your local ICAN.
Â
I had a VBA2C (with a J incision) but I had to fight for it. It was a planned HB that turned hospital birth at 30 weeks. I just went to the hospital and refused to agree to a c/s. It was a horrible birthing atmosphere but at least it wasn't a c/s. It was well worth it for my DD to get all the benefits of a vaginal birth.
I had a VBA3C in June. I'd love to share my story with anyone interested. I have a fused sacrum, didn't find out about it until after a failed VBAC and VBA2C. I had a FANTASTIC OB who believes in women and birth and will do anything you want as long as it's safe. including VBAC after multiple c/sections, breech vaginal births, and twin vaginal births. I wish every OB was like him. He never even mentioned c/section and I had multiple issues come up while I was pushing.
Â
You MUST find a provider who wants you to VBAC and is not just 'allowing' you a 'trial of labor'. Many OBs will bait and switch, telling you you 'can' VBAC while putting all kinds of restrictions on you, coming early in labor, continuuous monitoring, telling you you can't go past 40 weeks, you must have an epidural...etc. They will make you think they are supportive but then as you near your "due date" things will not be favorable for a vaginal birth... low amniotic fluid, "big" baby as shown by a late ultrasound, vaginal checks around your due date revealing your cervix is "high and closed", etc.
Â
You need to surround yourself with supportive people, it's a must!
PLEASE get involved with ICAN!!! That's how I found about and met my saint of an OB.
Abbey R, I just read your story and watched the photo video and it is SO beautiful! I teared up watching it. It gives me hope for my VBA2C. I was in a car accident in '93 and fractured my pelvis. It is so inspiring to read about other women that don't have a "perfect" pelvis giving birth. Thank you for sharing. (The pictures of your daughters at your bedside are so touching!)

Good news at least one hospital in Arkansas has lifted its VBAC ban. I am requesting details on what that hospital is the email I recieved via ICAN-online says it is in NW Arkansas and that they are expect more bans to be be lifted.
Here is the list of Arkansas ICAN groups.

We also have an ICAN group in Little Rock. Here is the FB page.
Â
There is no "ban" in AR as a whole. There is only hospital policy, and you have to take it hospital by hospital.
Â
Good luck! ![]()
