That is great! We always just put one of us as mom and one as dad...they didn't seem to care. Never put much thought into it, but it would be nice for it to be different!

We crossed out "mother" and "father" and wrote in Parent and Parent wherever it applied. We were waiting for a fight at the post office, but the woman was great and didn't think it would be a problem. We got our passports several weeks later with no issues. This is a great change though, and I'm sure happy to see it!

Are those of you who write the names of both parents on documents like a passport application both legal parents? If not does anyone ever ask for documentation regarding your legal status?

we have done passports for both boiys.  to put your name down as a parent you need to be on the birth certificate which you need as proof of us citizenship for your child.  we both did second parent adoption so we are both on our boy's birth certificates.

Same for us! We are both on both girls birth certificates so there is no issue!
