Anyone ever get a pos opk after ovulation?

I mentioned this in another thread but I wanted to address it directly.

I'm 9dpo and I took an OPK today and yesterday, both pos. Both times I was pregnant I did get a pos opk, but not til the same day as my BFP HPT. So I'm confused. I've definitely already o'd. Temps are good. So I'm baffled.

So my question is, if you've had a pos opk after O, were you pg or not?

I got a pos opk at 9dpo. I didn't get my bfp until 12dpo. However, I wasnt testing for preg bc I thought I was gearing up to o late, so I might have gotten my bfp sooner.

Twins this pregnancy I'm 26 weeks.
I read your other post, too... you had 2 pos opks? I think you're pregnant. at least, Ive never heard of more than one pos opk post o without preg...

usually to get a pos OPK as an HPT you would need a lot of HCG in your system - enough that I would think you would get a BFP on an HPT. And 9dpo would be super early for either.
Are you sure your ovulated when you thought? Or maybe OPKs are faulty?

I used OPKs for two months and both cycles got pos OPKs for about 8 days after O but only in the morning (I was testing 2x per day).  The first time I got excited because I thought that meant I had to be pregnant since that is what I read on the internet, but for me it was not the case.  I'm doing some more extensive tests with the doctor to see if I have any issues since I haven't gotten pregnant for a year (so in my case it could be a hormone issue?).  Don't want to be a downer, but that is my experience.  There is a lot of info on the internet though that says many people get a + OPK after O due to pregnancy, so hopefully that is the case for you!

Nope neg again. And hpt was too. i dunno what was causing it! Maybe I did O twice. But I'm pretty bummed.

Either way, I would definitely be bd'ing again!  It's happened before where a woman ovulated twice a week or more apart.  There was a woman in the news who this happened to.  She was carrying twins conceived 3 weeks apart, but I understand this is very rare.

Yeah I've heard of that!! Super weird. Although I think if I did O twice I've missed that second egg already.

A positive OPK only means you are gearing up to ovulate - it is very common for some women to gear up and then not Ovulate...so then the body tries again - hence getting 2 postive OPKs (or more!) in 1 cycle. Unless you were temping to confirm ovulation took place, there is no guarantee that a pos OPK means you O'd.
