Best airplane toys for an almost 21 mo?

G and I are traveling together next week without DH but with my parents. We do not have an extra seat for G as far as we know (will ask at the gate). We have two 1.5 hr flight s on the way out and a 3.5 hr one on the way back the following week. Since we still bounce to sleep for naps on a yoga ball I doubt she will nap.

I do have a droid phone to watch youtube videos or something in the case of extreme necessity but I want to go purchase some new toys for the plane ride. Thoughts on the best ones? We have a leapfrop lap top (not from us) which will be nice on the plane, a doodle pad and tons of books. I was thinking about buying a new baby as we are pretty bored with our babies, some new crayons and coloring books, but I was hoping you mamas might have some good suggestions.

At that age, DS really liked the Richard Scary airplane book. Also, we used CARES on the flight BRILLIANT and that let him use the tray table. We brought some duplo blocks and a building plate and he built for ours. On the next flight we did play dough with some new pieces and then coloring. Also, plane sticker book.

Mini-magna doodle- got mine at Target for about $8, she only sees it when flying.... she gets to color, but the "pen" is attached so she can't drop it.  She also uses the pen to give her mini-babydoll medical exams.  I also have a few books that she only sees when flying.  This works great.
