Dark Circles under 2 yr olds eyes

Within the last few weeks my DS1 has developed dark circles under his eyes. I did some research and saw that it is usually caused by allergies, so at his 2 yr well check-up I asked the DR about it. He agreed that it was allergies b/c he has a white coated in his nose. He said it was something he was breathing in , not eating and that he would do a blood test if I wanted it. I had him write me the order for the blood test, but haven't taken him yet b/c I have to pay for it all out of pocket :( So my first question is it really worth the $$ to get this allergy testing done and how accurate it is??

I came home and scrubbed my house from top to bottom, moving furniture and everything. I kicked the dogs outside too :( I know it has only been a few days but I am not seeing any improvement. I did some research on air purifiers from the allergybuyersclub.com and can't believe how pricey they are! We just don't have more than $2-300 to spend on an air purifier and even that is gonna take an act of God for my husband to agree too.

I hate seeing my baby with dark circles under his eyes :( Please!! I will take an suggestions you might have!

I've heard that blood (aka RAST) testing can be faulty and you can get false negs or positives. I think that skin prick testing would be more accurate but prob more expensive. All 3 of my kids have allergies and the dark circles
