It's Time to Ask for Help

I'm relatively new to Mothering.com...I spend more time lurking than I do posting. Lately, though, I've been struggling with PPD (my DD is 3 months old) and I've finally worked up the courage to ask for help. I wrote a blog about it and thought that I would include it here, in case anyone else has been struggling to do the same. Thanks for taking a few minutes to read. :)

Loved your blog.  I am also one who believes anything can be solved by a long run, but maybe not my PPD.....at least not entirely :)  I am in NJ, wish I lived closer so we could hit the road together....maybe we could meet somewhere in the middle like say Ohio or PA!

Yeah, running hasn't solved my PPD but it certainly has helped it. It is too bad you're in NJ! I definitely would have been down for a running buddy!

I saw this thread earlier and wanted to come back to it and tell you that I'm so glad you decided to ask for help for your PPD. It's very brave of you to realize that you need help. Not all mamas would be able to. My sonny boy is 4 months now and there were a couple of days where I thought I might be getting it, but luckily it was just some everyday type of frustration and it didn't grow into a big depression, but I'm still looking out for it.
