17 mo old makes me feel awesome about my boobs

So just a quick, cute story about nursing a little one who can communicate (sort of).  DH has been 'working' with DS (17 mo) on his talking/words.  Yesterday, DH taught DS to say "Whoa!"  when something exciting/big/special happens.  So every night, DH gets DS dressed for bed and then holds him a snuggles a little while I get situated in the rocker and get out 'the nurse'.  Last night I had my boob out, ready to go, and DS looks over DH's shoulder, points at my boob and says "Whoa!".  He had the most joyous look on his face!  It was so cute!  It's definately the most excited anyone has ever been about seeing my boobs.  The moral of the story is that if you are feeling down about your post-nursing/birth boobs, just show them to a 17 mo old and feel the magic.

That is great! lol. I love it when my dd2 says "I love my boobies." lol They are so funny when they can let you know how much they appreciate them!

It's also reinforces my desire to nurse until DS wants to stop.  He loves it so everytime weaning crosses my mind, I think about moments like this to remember why it's great to nurse a toddler.  My other favorite toddler nursing moment is that moment when he stops being so aware and interacting and just lets his eyes drift close and open and he looks so sleepy and blissed-out.  It reminds me of when he was a tiny baby.    "Whoa!" for nursing toddlers!

She's only 5 months - but I'm planning on nursing as long as she wants because of stories like these! Thanks for sharing!
