nyc abd parents? looking for IRL writing group.

we moved to NYC this fall. I am a WAHM/SAHM to two kids (one in school, one toddler). I am in the writing stages and looking to find an IRL writing group of other social science (or whatever) moms looking to finish in the next 12-18 months. I'd want to meet regularly. Any ideas on where I can find others in similar situation? Are there any good active online groups where I could find others and either latch on to an ongoing group or maybe form one?

I have one friend in a similar place here, and then other friends are all really close to finished, recently finished... so, not wanting/needing a writing group. I just really NEED some external motivation. And some occasional kid-free time to be a grad student.

Or maybe even try craigslist...
