Hi everyone,
Â
I'm new to the forums, so hello!
Â
I'm on my second pregnancy and while I cloth diapered part-time for my first, I was working outside the home with a long commute, and I stuck to pockets and AIOs to keep things convenient.
Â
Now that I'm working from home, I'd like to try CD-ing full time so I need more diapers. I decided I want to try wool covers, which totally intimidated me the first time around. But, having a smaller budget this time I want to try making my own out of some old wool sweaters I had been saving.
Â
Of course now I am eyeing up everything and saying, "Can I make a diaper out of that?"Â
I came across a 2-layer wool-and-fleece scarf I got as a gift and never once wore. It's cute, but I found it too thick to wear as a scarf. According to the tag, the wool layer is 100% lambswool, the lining is 100% polyester. Would I be better off separating the layers and doing it that way? Do I absolutely need to felt the wool? Would lanolizing create problems for the fleece layer?
Â
Thanks very much for your input! I'm happy to be here.
