Finally! kind of venting but relieved with state assistance

I finally after 6 months of stressing, repeated phone calls, frustrating coversations, repeated faxing of duplicated materials ( I could go on and on) have my two boys insured with CHP+! This has been so stressful with lots of moments of tears and frustration for me. I thought it was over when on Friday we received a letter of denial ( I had a complete meltdown and dh really didn't know what to do with me).  However come Saturday night when we picked up the mail we had a letter of confirmation that their CHP application was accepted!! I guess the first one was the denial for Medicaid ( I think when you apply for one they must process you for both). But of course the first letter of denial wasn't clear about that, just said "you have been denied for the program in which you applied" or something like that.

I am so frustrated with them and know from here on out I'll be documenting and saving everything!! But hopefull for the coming year we will be good to go with their insurance.

Just wanted to share in case anyone else is dealing with all the bureacracy, hang in there.

Glad you got something.Keep applying.Many people get denied and give up.Some keep at it and actually get some assistance.
