Protein snacks?

Thread Starter

I really need some ideas for healthy snacks that are high in protein.  The more simple the better.

My current favorite is a handful of almonds.  Besides meats and eggs, which just aren't that appealing to me right now, what other high protein foods could make good snacks?

What about:

- a bowl of salted edamame?

- cheese and crackers, or snack cheese like cheese curds?

- roasted chick peas?

Nut butters

Jerky (meat, but maybe more appetizing if dry?)

I have never heard of roasted chick peas.  Do I make them myself or buy them?
