What household responsibilities does your 7-8 year old have?

The title pretty much says it all. Does your 7-8 year old have daily chores or responsibilities around the house, and if so, what are they?

Laundry- gather, load, switch over, and now learning to fold
Floors- sweep/vacuum
Unload dishwasher
Set dinner table, clear dinner table
Learning to wash pots & pans

My 8 yo and 6 yo work together to get these jobs done daily.

My 8 year old's current daily chores are:

feed the dogs and cat

make his bed

clean up after himself

He does lots of other things as well when I need him to and he helps me cook dinner almost every night.  On weekends, both he and my 4 year old help.

My 7yo DS has to do 45-60 minutes of "farm" related chores every day before school.  He gives all the animals food, water and clean bedding.  He also has to keep his room clean and unload the dishwasher.

My 8 year old needs to set and help clear the table for dinner, help unload the dishwasher (he can't reach all the shelves and our kitchen is tiny so there's no room for a stepladder so he doesn't do the glassware, but does do the rest), put up his own clean clothes (i fold them and put them on the stairs leading up to his room), put his dirty clothes into the washer; straighten up his room; clean up any messes he and his friends make when playing here; and generally help out as needed and asked to.

Mine's 9 but it hasn't changed in awhile

~Her own laundry plus help with 'family' laundry.

~Dinner 1 night a week, from shopping to cleaning.

~Keeping own room & (shared) bathroom clean.

~Feeding guinea pig.

~Dishes some nights; everyone capable takes turns.

I think that's it for "set" chores but she does a LOT more than that to help around the house! General straightening up, helping take care of Grandma and younger sib, etc.

Neither of my kids have daily chores. 10y and 6y.

Each week my two older dc's (5 and 8) choose four chores to do.  This week for the 8 year old it includes getting dressed right away (trust me this is a big one for him), help with outside chores (bringing in firewood and shoveling snow), clearing the dinner table and helping with the laundry.  On top of these they generally help around the house when we ask and do things like taking care of the dog, making beds, tidying up toys, caring for younger siblings, etc...  They are also expected to take care of their school things so packing and unpacking backpacks and lunches.

DD is responsible for the following:

Self care (brushing teeth, hair, bathing, trimming nails)

Keeping her room clean (toys put away, bookshelf tidy, bed made, clothes in the basket)

Keeping her bathroom tidy

Her laundry (washing, drying, folding and putting away)

Unloading the dishwasher and putting the dishes away

Taking out the trash

Getting homework done on time

Reading for at least 30 minutes/day

I also typed a contract with all her responsibilities (along with the consequences if they weren't done) and went over everything with her and had her sign it.  Before I just had a "chore list" and I had to remind her every single day to do the things on the list.  Now, I rarely have to remind her.  :)

ETA: also on the list: Being respectful and having a good attitude.  :)
