Hey Maine mamas!!!

Hey Mama's!  I have not posted in such a long time... ended up having to start over with a new name....

Wondering how many Maine mamas there are now, and what are the ages of everyone's DC?

Can not wait to jump back in... my DH ordered me a subscription to Mothering for Christmas and I realized how much I missed the Forum and "being" with other parents like me!!

I have 4 sons, 12,10,6 &4- looking forward to getting back into this! :)

Hello!

I am living in Midcoast ME right now and I have two children (3.5 and 1.75). My husband and I are working on our third! I am avoiding the "What to Expect" site because there are not many positive things to be said about natural parenting on there.

I am looking forward to meeting some more moms in my area!

Hi there, I'm up in the Bangor area... DS will be six months in about a week.

Hi everyone- been reading these forums for awhile and finally decided to create an account! I live in the Portland area with my SO and our 13 month old. It's an interesting age for sure- more fun in some ways and much more challenging in others! I think part of the problem is that I have a case of the blues and this weather sure isn't helping. :\ How are you keeping yourselves busy inside without going stir crazy? I'm seriously considering going back to work (like, more than just per diem which is what I'm doing now) sooner than anticipated just to get a break... I live in the wrong state, haha.

Hey back atcha!

I'm Julie, in Portland, and I'm currently co-leading the new Portland Area chapter of the Holistic Moms Network -- we have a lot of activities planned to get mamas and kiddos together to help our community grow and to offer resources and support!  I have a 7yo first grader in school (Hall) and a 4yo who is home with me full time.

Next week, the HMN chapter has a few things planned.  We're meeting at Peekaboo (Dana Warp Mill in Westbrook) for their monthly clothing swap.  It goes on all day, but many HMN mamas arrive 10:30ish with a packed snack/lunch and stay until they need to head home for naps.

On Friday, we have a $5 deal at Greenlight Studio (corner of Darmouth and Forest Ave in Portland) where we'll be playing and hanging out drinking coffee and the HMN chapter will be sponsoring a Valentine's Day themed craft (not sure what that is yet... LOL)

On the evening of the 30th, we're hosting a Moms Night Out at the Veranda Noodle Bar on Veranda Street in Portland at 6pm.

Here's the January newsletter - http://us1.campaign-archive1.com/?u=ed4e638c1f4b7b13030667286&id=a9c4d5969e

and you can find us on Facebook, too http://www.facebook.com/HMNPortlandME

Hope to meet up with you guys soon!

Julie

I'm in the Portland area. My DD will be 3 next month and we're expecting #2 late June/early July. So good to see some other Mainers here! I haven't been very active on the forums, but I'm sure I'll be visiting more often as I get closer to delivering the baby and after s/he is born since I'm sure I'll have questions even though this is my second!

Hi ladies!!  I'm down in Lebanon, just over the border from NH! :)  I have two sons, 3 and 1!! :)  Anyone near me?!

We're not too far from Lebanon, in West Newfield and I as well have not been too active on the forum ever since it went to the new style, my computer now takes forever to download the pagesgreensad.gif. I've got 3 boys, almost 9, 6 1/2, and just turned 3. My DS is home with them during the week and so far he hasn't been up for long trips away so mostly they stay home and I think my elder 2 desperately need some boys their own age to play with, all their friends are wonderful...but girls...and I've come to accept there is a difference. I'd be up for some weekend visits!! dizzy.gif Sarah

Hey Moms I just joined today, I was so sad to see Mothering Magazine will no longer be in print.  I am a 54 year old grandmother.  I have issues of Mothering Magazine from the late 1970's.  Back when  Mothering first came out there was nothing like it.  It challenged me into alternative ways of parenting.  I have 8 children 14-34 (same parents).  If any of you ever have concerns or just want to chat I'm here.  Enjoy being a Mom, there's nothing like it.

I'm up north- halfway between Medway and Houlton, pretty much. I have a 5 month old little boy.

I just saw this thread. I'm in Farmington. I have a 23 months old son and another DS on the way (due late August). I enjoy living here because I like living close to nature. I've not been very active in the forums since late 2009 but I recently returned to find support from like-minded people during my pregnancy and planned VBAC.
